LEGAL NOTICE OF FIRE DISTRICT ELECTIONS
ANNUAL ELECTION OF
DAVIS PARK FIRE DISTRICT
JULY 13th, 2010
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Annual Election of the Davis Park Fire District will take place on July 13th, 2010, between the hours of 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm at the Davis Park Fire House located at Trustee Walk, Davis Park Fire Island for the purpose of electing one Commissioner for a 5 year term, commencing on January 1st, 2011 and ending on December 31st, 2015.
All duly registered residents of the Davis Park Fire District who have registered with the County Board of Elections on or before the 23rd day before the Fire District Election Day shall be eligible to vote. In 2010, such registration must take place on or before Sunday, June 20th.
Candidates for District Office shall file their names with the Secretary of the Fire District at P.O. Box 702, Patchogue, New York, 11772 no later than June 23rd , 2010.
Any voter wishing to obtain an Absentee Ballot may do so by sending a request for an Application for an Absentee Ballot to the Secretary, Davis Park Fire District, PO Box 702, Patchogue, NY 11772. Mark the front of the envelope “APPLICATION FOR ABSENTEE BALLOT”. The Application for Absentee Ballot can also be downloaded from the Davis Park Fire District Web Site at http://www.dpfd.org/absentee.htm.
Absentee Ballot Applications must be received by July 6th, 2010. Absentee Ballots must be received at the Davis Park Fire District Post Office Box no later than 3:00pm on July 13th, 2010.
